Site Monastery
The project is a meditation center where the light guides the user from the darkness within the mountain into clarity. I based the project on the path concept and the morphology of the Earth’s elliptical movement around the Sun. The monastery center, metaphorically the sun, is represented in one of the focal points, where the meditation room’s dome is. This self-discovery journey is never a straight line. It has multiple states, ups, and downs; this is the spiritual journey. To feel trapped or free. The building´s architecture invites the user to feel all these emotions. Additionally, I faced the challenge of modeling an underground elliptical structure on a steep slope in Revit was no easy task. I used the software to its maximum potential to develop a high-quality 3d model.
